Marchesi 1824 Illustrated

Potential Creative Directions:

• Festive Mount Street Campaign: An illustrated story capturing the festive transformation of the Mount Street boutique - the window displays, pastry details, panettone packaging and seasonal atmosphere. 

• London & Milan Visual Story: A broader reportage series across Marchesi's locations in London and Milan. Complementing the history documented in the Marchesi 1824 Assouline book, this project would offer a new, hand-drawn perspective on experiencing the spaces today - documenting the architectural details, the craft behind the pastry creations and the team bringing the Marchesi experience to life. As an author and reportage illustrator, working across illustration, journalism and writing, this could also incorporate written interviews with pastry chefs, designers and members of the team, sharing the human stories behind the brand. The Assouline book also focuses on Marchesi's relationship with Milan, with the opportunity to develop this by capturing the growing relationship between Marchesi and London. 

• Harrods Chocolate Hall Chapter: Documenting the new Marchesi presence inside the historic Harrods Chocolate Hall through reportage drawing and film of the creative process, capturing the new chapter of the brand's London story. 

Deliverables & Marketing Assets:

The project combines original hand-drawn illustrations, digitised high-res artwork, developed alongside photography and film of the creative process. This would provide bespoke visual assets for your seasonal marketing, social channels, PR, emails, wider brand communications and permanent brand archive. Live drawing in-store could also offer customers an engaging, quiet luxury experience, as they watch the illustration take shape. 

My recent live illustration work includes live drawing at the Royal Ballet and Opera, the BBC Proms and the Houses of Parliament for Refugee Week with upcoming live illustration at Classic FM LIVE at the Royal Albert Hall. Earlier this year, I was also commissioned by Visit Sarasota County for an international residency to creatively document Sarasota in Florida through on-location illustration and cinematography.
